Conservationist and Iranian born Director Farokh Khorooshi approached us with an idea to create a brand for his charity Caspian Productions. The first project was to help save the Caspian horse from extinction and secure the future of this unique Iranian National Treasure. He partnered with renowned equine photographer Colin Barker, setting off on a two year trip around the globe. Their aim: to find and photograph some of the very best Caspian horses alive today. These images would go into a beautifully crafted calendar, to be be sold to raise funds and awareness.
Our strategy: become the marque quality
We were captivated by Farokh’s story about this mythological animal, and during our own research one image particularly inspired us. It was a photograph of this beautifully proportioned little horse, on an ancient stone carving in Persepolis. The brand identity, which uses the Caspian C to form the horse, and crafted production techniques, ensured that this conservation brand felt like a marque of quality. Everything about the identity and calendar had to feel special, and do justice to the wonderful images inside.
